The Northampton Gilbert and Sullivan Group proudly presents its 2013 major production at "THE ROYAL AUDITORIUM" Northampton.

Join the group for their revival of the duo’s famous tilt at politics and the House of Lords and be transported to London with a sparkling new production of ‘Iolanthe’. One of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most popular operettas. It is a firm favourite with both audience and performers alike.

Enjoy Gilbert’s outrageously comic characters, the Lord Chancellor and the Fairy Queen, the young lovers Phyllis and Strephon and of course the indefatigable Private Willis. ‘Iolanthe’ contains some of Sullivan’s  best music including the show-stopping - ‘Peers Chorus’, the fiendishly complicated ‘Nightmare Song’ and the rousing ‘When Britain really ruled the waves’. A delightful evening of music, humour and wit for all the family. A production not to be missed.
